Summary: It gets you there really well. Clean, efficient. Best shower system I ever had. The charm of an old medieval city, fantastic views, wonderful old buildings, excellent restaurants in 500-year-,old settings, the hotel is a stone's throw from all that. It is outside the city walls, a bit overlit at night. Noise level pretty minimal. Nothing broke but if it had I'm not sure who to call. Parking at thd hotel is handy; driving (let alone parking) inside the city walls is tough; it,'s really a giant pedestrian mall with a couple of channels for supply trucks, emergency vehicles.(As it should be!) The motel takes care of that problem.

Summary: Citymotel Soest is a no frills but very clean, comfortable and efficient motel. Moderately large room. Exceptional value at 60 euros a night. Fully automated check-in. Minor snacks, coffee and beer (!) from a machine.

Summary: We booked this room primarily due to the price. We found the room to be equal to many other rooms on this trip that cost much more. It was quiet, clean, spacious and the mattress was firm.

Summary: Clean modern building, easy walk from rail station or plenty of parking. Also short walk from town centre. Good sized room, feels a bit bare but sufficient in way of hanging space, work surface, place to put suitcase etc. Soap dispenser at shower but not at basin. Rather flimsy plastic glass (in sealed plastic), doubtless with corona in mind. Rooms arranged in staggered pattern on two levels round small courtyard (All facing forward:rail line immediately at back.) - ask for ground floor if have mobility difficulties as upper level reached by external staircase. Office closed between 10am and 2pm and late evening - can check in outside hours if get in touch to get pin number. Good price, would happily use again.

Summary: The check in is automated but effective and when i rang the info-line I got through the someone straight away. Location is near enough as the town is small. 10 min walk from train station and shops or into town centre. Room was fresh and clean. There are curtains and shutters but with shutters down it felt a little boxed in, I was in the room at the very front and so if I didn’t have the shutter down it was clear visible into the room. Thicker curtains would be great. Other than this... perfect!
